Rehabs
Just spent hours calling different rehab centers and every single one claims to have amazing success rates but won't explain how they calculate them. One place said 85% success but turns out they only track for 60 days. Another counts anyone who completes intake as a graduate. It's so frustrating when you're trying to help someone and can't get straight answers. According to https://unitedrecoveryproject.com/rehab-blog/what-is-the-success-rate-of-drug-and-alcohol-rehabs/ the whole industry lacks standard measurement criteria. Makes me think the places being vague about their numbers are hiding something. At least some facilities are upfront about long-term recovery being a process, not a percentage

This is exactly why we went with a smaller local facility. They straight up told us "we don't promise percentages, we track progress." The big chains with their flashy 90% success rates felt like used car salesmen. Real recovery takes years, not the 30 days they're measuring. Wish more places were honest about that
