Shariah-compliant crypto... does it actually exist or is it all hype?
Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to get into crypto lately but honestly, it’s a bit of a headache trying to figure out what’s actually okay to use. My main concern is the interest (riba) and some of the shady speculative stuff that goes on in most projects.
I really want something that aligns with my values but most of what I find feels like just another "get rich quick" scheme hidden behind fancy tech words. Has anyone here actually found a project or a community that feels "halal" and isn't just a scam? I’m looking for something that’s more about the community and ethical side rather than just chart-watching 24/7. Any thoughts?

Honestly, I had the exact same struggle last year. It felt like every "Islamic" project I looked into was either dead or just felt like a copy-paste of some other coin. It’s exhausting trying to filter through the noise.
I eventually stumbled upon the mecca coin team while looking into Solana-based projects (mostly because I hate high gas fees lol). What I actually liked about them wasn't the "tech" per se, but the whole vibe. They’ve got this focus on Zakat and ethical transactions that actually makes sense. Plus, they talk about stuff like VR Hajj experiences which is pretty wild if they pull it off.
I’m still learning the ropes, and obviously, crypto is always a bit of a rollercoaster, but for once I feel like I can just relax and enjoy the process without worrying if I’m breaking a bunch of rules. It’s worth taking a look at how they handle the interest-free side of things. It definitely felt more "human" than the usual stuff I see on Twitter.
